How to Cook Cakes in a Turbo Cooker

The Turbo Cooker is a cooking tool sold via infomercials that cuts down on the cooking time required to prepare most recipes by taking advantage of both steam and convection technology. The Turbo Cooker allows you to prepare a number of dishes, including chicken, beef, vegetables and desserts. By taking advantage of the pan included with the Turbo Cooker, you can bake a cake without the need for an oven.

Step 1

Prepare your cake batter.

Put the steam rack in the Turbo Cooker.

Step 3

Spray the Turbo Cooker pan with nonstick cooking spray, and pour your cake batter into the pan. Place the pan on the steam rack.

Step 4

Pour 1 1/2 cups of water into the bottom of the unit, and close it.

Step 5

Clear the LCD screen by pushing the "Zero" button, and push the "MSET" button on the Turbo Cooker 10 times to set the cooking time to 10 minutes. Leave the valve switch, the knob located on top of the Turbo Cooker cover, in the open position to cook on high heat.

Step 6

Press the "Start/Stop" button to begin cooking. The Turbo Cooker will beep for 30 seconds at the end of the 10 minutes.

Step 7

Remove the Turbo Cooker cover and add 1 ½ cups of water. Close the valve switch to cook on medium heat, and cook the cake for another 10 minutes.

Step 8

Remove the Turbo Cooker cover and add 1 ½ cups of water. Set the cooker to high heat by opening the valve switch, and cook the cake for an additional 10 minutes.

Step 9

Remove the cake pan from the Turbo Cooker, and allow the cake to cool before removing it from the pan.
