About the ProForm 760 EKG Treadmill

The ProForm 760 EKG is an older model, motorized treadmill for residential use. Sears, Roebuck and Co. department stores sold the 760 EKG around 2001. This is a basic in-home treadmill with standard specifications. It does have some advanced features such as iFit technology and heart-rate control programs.

Design

The ProForm 760 EKG treadmill is black and gray with red accents. It folds into a vertical position for easy storage. The 760 EKG has a 2.5-horsepower motor and can handle user loads up to 250 pounds. The cushioned walking platform reduces the strain on your knees and makes for a more comfortable workout. The console includes a book holder and a water-bottle holder.

Features

The console display provides feedback about your workout, including elapsed time, distance, speed and calories burned. Hold the pulse sensors on the handrails to display your heart rate. The 760 EKG has a maximum speed of 10 mph and a maximum incline of 10 percent. The incline is automatic; you adjust it with the control buttons on the console. Change the speed quickly using the 10 quick-speed buttons on the console.

Programs

The 760 EKG treadmill includes four built-in certified personal trainer programs that automatically adjust the speed and incline. It also has two heart-rate programs. The treadmill adjusts the incline and speed to maintain your heart rate in a targeted zone. To use this feature, you need an optional chest pulse sensor. The 760 EKG has iFit technology. Connect the treadmill to your computer or stereo. Purchase iFit workout CDs and a virtual personal trainer guides you through a workout while the treadmill automatically adjusts the speed and incline. You can connect the treadmill to your computer and download workouts from the iFit website.
